Support U.S. Handball — Donate to the Alive & Well Fund
Help keep handball thriving by contributing to the Alive & Well Fund, which supports the daily operations of the United States Handball Association and its Hall of Fame Museum.
A Legacy of Support
In 1982, the USHA reached a critical crossroads. Founder and longtime President Bob Kendler stepped down due to health and business concerns. Facing financial uncertainty, newly elected President Carl Porter issued a heartfelt plea to handball players across North America: “Handball Needs You.” His call to action appeared on the cover of Handball Magazine, sparking the creation of the Keep Handball Alive Fund. As the sport rebounded and the association regained stability, the fund’s name was fittingly changed to the Alive & Well Fund—a testament to the sport’s enduring spirit.
Today, this fund continues to support the USHA Hall of Fame Museum and National Headquarters in Tucson, Arizona, which is open to the public five days a week (and weekends by appointment). Your donation helps preserve handball’s history while keeping the game alive for future generations.
Annual donors are recognized in each issue of Handball Magazine as members of the Contributor Club.
All contributions are tax-deductible. The United States Handball Association is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
